Who?

I identified with Eric Weinstein so much because of the shared struggles with the educational system.

Eric became a beacon of hope for me when he started sharing his story and lessons he learned throughout his impressive career as an academic, mathematician, physicist, economist, managing director of Thiel Capital, and podcaster.

Although he’s been told he is dyslexic, dysgraphic, color blind, ADD, and kinesthetic reinforcement deficits, he is proof of the educational system debacles. He says, “All BS. I wasn’t meant for educators, as those are actually their issues with me (i.e…

I was talking to a guy in college, like many other students, I noticed he would try to meet as many people as he could like he was in a race. Similar to an athlete scarfing hamburgers in a burger-eating competition.

GROSS!

This seemed ridiculous because he could say he knew of many people, but he didn’t know them besides their name, major, and maybe city. Did he know anyone at a deeper level? …

I started investing when I was 13. I traded and invested in stocks and cryptocurrencies. I’ve made money and I’ve lost money. But both taught me how to be a better investor.

Whenever I have a few cents, I always invest it all. 1) I’m young, hence I can afford a greater risk because I don’t have obligations and/or could afford to lose (I don’t like it though) 2) It makes no sense to have the money in the bank (you lose every day because of inflation).

How can you invest with…

Before we start I want to note that these are my thoughts and what I think is right. I may be wrong and if I am I’d love for you to prove me wrong.

Lots of smart people have written about why you shouldn’t go to college. But I’m giving it a shot.

Yeah, you read that right. I’m going to college despite the argument of many people of why people shouldn’t go to college.

I want to study engineering because I want to get the foundation of specialization in a method…

Being extremely successful is risky. To be the first, you sacrifice being the last one. To be the first, you sacrifice being ridiculed. To be the first, you risk losing everything.

Many people want to be the best in whatever they do, but a lot of them are not willing to put in the work or are not willing to take the risk to be the best. Being at the top is risky and has a low probability. It’s risky because it’s like a mini claw machine. You can give it a…

I can’t hear you well and please turn the video on, I can’t see you well. Why don’t we use Zoom?

Who would have thought most of us would be using Zoom (almost every day now)? Who would have thought Zoom would be saving the world by allowing us to work from home? Who came up with this genius idea? This is the story of Zoom’s founder.

Eric Yuan was born in China and graduated from the Shandong University of Science & Technology. A natural-born entrepreneur, Eric made his first foray into…

Over the last few weeks, I’ve reaffirmed my position that a statistics class should be REQUIRED for every person before they are released into the open world of adulthood.

I was first introduced to the marvelous field of statistics when I was selected to attend a program at Argonne National Laboratory, a science and engineering research laboratory where interesting developments take place ranging from supercomputers to nanotechnology.

In this program, my team and I needed to figure out where the 1850s cholera outbreak broke out. We were given a set of tools…

Who?

I’m not a person who has always liked physics or science. In fact, this book was even recommended by an entrepreneur (Naval Ravikant). I’m becoming more interested in science because science is the engine of both technology and the economy. For example, the internet, the telephone, the tv, among many other inventions came from the field of physics.

There are few writers who are able to explain subjects clearly in a way that inspires you to get involved in that field and keep contributing. This is what I feel with Carlo Rovelli.

“I think, therefore I am” said Rene Descartes. If humans couldn’t think, we wouldn’t be humans. The definition of human beings would not be the same. So much of our lives affects our thinking to a degree that we don’t even know when we are thinking. We think all the time. We spend our lives thinking, even when we sleep. Is all thinking the same? Are there different types of thinking?

Let’s get started.

Let’s dive into a type of thinking that I’m fascinated by: Statistical Thinking.

A lot of our thinking…

“The future belongs to the curious. The ones who are not afraid to try it, explore it, poke at it, question it, and turn it inside out.”

— Unknown

To pursue your curiosities means to be a human. To be a human means to be creative. To be creative means to express yourself in curious ways.

What are Curiosities?

They are ideas, topics, people, or things that somehow seem interesting to you. You know they are curiosities when you feel the need to learn more about them. …

Juan David Campolargo

I do and share “stuff” that makes people more optimistic, ambitious, and curious.
